Soccer Game Preview: Mission College Prep vs. Morro Bay

The Mission College Prep Royals will head out to take on the Morro Bay Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mission College Prep will be strutting in after a win while Morro Bay will be coming in after a defeat.

Mission College Prep will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Templeton on Friday. Mission College Prep blew past Templeton 4-0. Considering the Royals' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Templeton with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sarah Connors (2), Addie Blake, and Katelyn Eckler.

Meanwhile, Morro Bay lost 4-1 to Cabrillo on Thursday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Pirates were already down 3-0.

Mission College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 7-9-1. As for Morro Bay, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10-1.

Mission College Prep took their win against Morro Bay in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 9-3. In that contest, Mission College Prep amassed a halftime lead of 6-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
