Softball Recap: Washington-Wilkes Takes a Loss

Washington-Wilkes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oglethorpe County Patriots. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 12-10 to the Patriots when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kaidyn Porter made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Washington-Wilkes' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oglethorpe County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Washington-Wilkes has already played their next matchup, a 5-3 defeat against Hart County on the 14th. As for Oglethorpe County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Clarke Central on the 13th.
