Football Recap: LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle/Pacelli Takes a Loss

LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle/Pacelli had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-4 to make it five. They took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alden-Conger Knights. LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle/Pacelli was right on the edge of victory: they outscored Alden-Conger in the fourth quarter 14-6.

As for Alden-Conger, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.0 points over those games.

Darin Linn was his usual excellent self, rushing for 220 yards and five TDs while picking up 12.2 yards per carry, and also catching one score. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 101 rushing yards per game. Josiah Jensen was another key back, gaining 100 total yards and a touchdown.
