Basketball Game Preview: Mark Keppel Aztecs vs. South Pasadena Tigers

Mark Keppel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They breezed past Jordan to the tune of 55-23. The Aztecs are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

Meanwhile, South Pasadena had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 77-48 win over the Musketeers.

Mark Keppel's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.8 points over those games. As for South Pasadena, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.

Mark Keppel didn't have too much breathing room in their game against South Pasadena when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-45 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mark Keppel since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
