Baseball Recap: North Gwinnett's Winning Streak Snapped at 11 Games

North Gwinnett and North Paulding squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but North Gwinnett had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 4-2. The Bulldogs were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the five contests prior), but the Wolfpack's pitchers proved too tough.

The loss snapped North Gwinnett's winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 33-3 record. As for North Paulding, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 23 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-8 record this season.

While North Gwinnett had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
