Basketball Recap: Loyalton Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Loyalton won the last time they faced Paradise Adventist Academy, and Catherine Petterson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Loyalton Grizzlies blew past the Paradise Adventist Academy Cougars 58-33 on Tuesday thanks in part to Petterson, who posted 18 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. Her afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Weaver, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Loyalton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Paradise Adventist Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Loyalton will take on Princeton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Paradise Adventist Academy, they will face off against Elk Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Paradise Adventist Academy is facing Elk Creek at the right time seeing as Elk Creek is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
