Basketball Recap: Belmont Comes Up Short

Belmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Hollywood Sheiks 63-13. The Sentinels were probably out for revenge after losing 57-9 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Belmont's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hollywood, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belmont will face off against Mendez at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Mendez's defense has only allowed 25.5 points per game this season, so Belmont's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Hollywood, they will welcome Bernstein at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
