Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waterford). They put the hurt on the Mariposa County Grizzlies with a sharp 5-2 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their 15-game losing streak.

Melanie Mandujano and Natalie Sanchez scored all five of Waterford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Waterford's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 3-16. As for Mariposa County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Waterford has already played their next match (against Delhi), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mariposa County will be playing at home against Stone Ridge Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
