Softball Recap: Thomson Has No Trouble Against Academy of Richmond County

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Evans, Thomson was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers 17-7. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win got Thomson back to even at 10-10. As for Academy of Richmond County, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thomson will host Burke County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Academy of Richmond County, they will be playing at home against Hephzibah at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.64 runs per game on average), something the Musketeers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
