Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson-Morgan Rockets vs. Bentworth Bearcats + Official Tickets

For the first time this season, Jefferson-Morgan will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to face off against the Bentworth Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

While Jefferson-Morgan didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They really took it to Turkeyfoot Valley Area for the full four quarters, racking up a 52-21 victory. That looming 52-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rockets yet this season.

Among those leading the charge was Ava Wood, who posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Cervone, who earned seven points.

Meanwhile, Bentworth hadn't done well against South Side recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bearcats claimed a resounding 53-17 win over the Rams. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bearcats.

Jefferson-Morgan's record is now 4-1. As for Bentworth, their record now sits at 2-3.

Jefferson-Morgan came up short against Bentworth in their previous meeting back in January, falling 42-32. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
