Hay Springs took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They breezed past the Arthur County Wolves to the tune of 59-32. The Hawks not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since January 30th (when they won 58-15).

Kya Binger was the offensive standout of the contest as she shot 67% from beyond the arc to rack up 21 points. Those 67% three-point shooting accuracy gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Devyn Young, who posted seven points along with ten rebounds and four steals.

Hay Springs was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arthur County only posted six.

When it comes to explaining why Arthur County lost, don't look at Ava Wenzel. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. Wenzel has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.

Arthur County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
