Westminster Christian dropped down to 13-7 on Friday, ending the team's 11-game streak of wins. They fell just short of Eureka by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, Westminster Christian couldn't push the score so high this time.

Westminster Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaymison Lenk, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

As for Eureka, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games.

On Eureka's side, Chrystal Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. Hall has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kayleigh Niles was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Westminster Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eureka, they will challenge St. Dominic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.2, the Crusaders 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
