Volleyball Recap: Horizon Wins Going Away Against Parkland

Horizon won the last time they faced Parkland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Scorpions put the hurt on the Matadors with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Scorpions.

One reason for the win was Horizon's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-19.

Leilah Williams paced Horizon's offense, picking up 13 kills. Williams got some help from Casey Zambrano and her ten assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Horizon's victory bumped their record up to 10-20. As for Parkland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-18.

Coincidentally, Horizon and Parkland will both be playing Hanks the next time they take the court. The Scorpions will head out to face the Knights at 6:35 p.m. on Friday, while the Matadors will host them at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday.
