Softball Recap: Seward Comes Up Short

Seward lost against Crete back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bluejays fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bluejays have suffered since August 28th.

Ali Theobald was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Karlee Baack was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Seward has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Crete, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-5.

Seward has already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Aurora on the 2nd. As for Crete, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 15-0 defeat against Northwest on the 2nd.
