Independence had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Mt. Pleasant on Saturday. The Mustangs never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Mustangs not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since June 20th (when they won 15-1).

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 7-21. As for Mt. Pleasant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-25 record this season.

Independence has already played their next game (against Marion), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mt. Pleasant also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against West Burlington.
