Soccer Game Preview: Springfield vs. Memorial

The Springfield Blue Devils will challenge the Memorial Roughriders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Springfield knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Memorial likes a good challenge.

Springfield saw some tournament action on Monday. They put the hurt on Maumee with a sharp 6-2 win. It was an even better day for Kyle Mortus as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Memorial gave up the first goal on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Celina. The win was familiar territory for Memorial, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 15-2-3. As for Springfield, their win bumped their record up to 16-1-1.
