Softball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Benton Bobcats. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 10-3 to the Bobcats when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Benton, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Marion beat the Bobcats by a score of 7-6 later that day.
