Softball Recap: Columbine's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Columbine came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Lakewood Tigers. 14 seems to be a good number for the Rebels as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Mason Abraham was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Nina Vargas was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Columbine's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Lakewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-7.

As of now, neither Columbine nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
