Basketball Recap: Wissahickon Comes Up Short

Wissahickon lost against Plymouth Whitemarsh back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wissahickon Trojans had to suffer through a 47-20 loss at the hands of the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-5.

Aj Avery was the offensive standout of the match as she posted nine points along with six assists and three steals. Those six assists gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Patete, who had five points and six assists.

Wissahickon is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Wissahickon will venture away from home to square off against Hatboro-Horsham at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Plymouth Whitemarsh has already played their next game (against Masterman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
