Basketball Game Preview: California Military Institute Rough Riders vs. Nuview Bridge Knights

California Military Institute hasn't had much luck against Nuview Bridge recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The California Military Institute Rough Riders will venture away from home to take on the Nuview Bridge Knights at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Wednesday, California Military Institute took a blow against Desert Christian Academy, falling 48-17. While losing is never fun, the Rough Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1074th, while the Conquerors are ranked 479th).

Meanwhile, Nuview Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Temecula Prep and fell 71-34.

California Military Institute's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-10. As for Nuview Bridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

California Military Institute couldn't quite finish off Nuview Bridge in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 and fell 35-33. Can California Military Institute avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
