Lowndes won against Lee County last Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Vikings walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Yellow Jackets back in February, they had to take a 14-4 defeat.

Lowndes is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Thomas County Central, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 12-15 record.
