Baseball Recap: Bonduel Comes Up Short

After flying high against Menominee Nation on Thursday, Bonduel came back down to earth. The Bears took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kewaunee Storm on Friday. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 12-1 to the Storm when the teams met back in May of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jack Zernicke made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Bonduel has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-5 record this season. As for Kewaunee, the win keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

Bonduel didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-5 victory against Manawa on the 18th. As for Kewaunee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-5 win against Coleman on the 18th.
