Basketball Recap: Loyalsock Township Takes Down Imhotep Charter in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Loyalsock Township had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Imhotep Charter Panthers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 65-46. The victory was familiar territory for the Lancers, who have now won seven matches in a row.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Geren Hawthorne, who posted 19 points. Those 19 points gave Hawthorne a new career-high. Sabria Mann was another key player, going 5-for-8 to rack up 12 points.

Loyalsock Township's win was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points over those games. As for Imhotep Charter, they moved to 23-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
