Recap: West Branch Warriors vs. Glendale Vikings
The West Branch Warriors fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Glendale Vikings on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Vikings 43-37. If West Branch hoped to take revenge for the 45-29 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glendale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Peterson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Hannah Matish was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
West Branch's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Glendale, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Branch's road trip will continue as they head out to face Moshannon Valley at 7:15 p.m. on January 15th. As for Glendale, they will square off against Juniata Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Juniata Valley is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
