Big Game from Stimpson As Jesuit Fell 58-35

Starting off the list is Jesuit's Joe Stimpson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stimpson picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.

Jesuit's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. Stimpson and Jesuit will head out to face off against Southridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Thompson Made His Presence Known in Westview's 28-6 Victory

Heath Thompson was a major factor in Westview's win over Beaverton on Friday. Nobody could stop Thompson as he rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Thompson must have Beaverton's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Thompson last faced the Beavers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 154 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.

Treynor Cleeland Makes It Two for Jesuit

The second Jesuit player making an appearance here is Treynor Cleeland, and for good reason. He threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.2% of his passes.

On the year, Cleeland has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 191.8 passing yards per game.

Jayce Strand Turns in Season-Best Effort

Westview was led to victory by Jayce Strand, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Strand picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles.

On the season, Strand has averaged 6.6 total tackles per game and for the season has 4 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 0.14 total tackles per game.
