Basketball Recap: Higley Knights vs. Cesar Chavez Champions
It's playoff time, and Higley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They escaped with a win on Thursday against the Cesar Chavez Champions by the margin of a single free throw, 57-56. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 64-22 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Higley found their leader in sophomore Cadence Murdough, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 15 boards. Murdough is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 15 games she's played. Ava Haney was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards.
Higley was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They are 16-7 when they've passed the ball that well.
