Softball Recap: Benson Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Benson's offense. They lost 18-0 to the Bellevue West Thunderbirds on Thursday. The Bunnies haven't had much luck with the Thunderbirds recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Benson's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Bellevue West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-18.

Looking ahead, Benson will square off against Lincoln High at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Links have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.29 runs per game on average), something the Bunnies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bellevue West, they have already played their next matchup, an 11-3 defeat against Millard West on the 26th.
