Basketball Game Preview: Mira Monte Lions vs. Foothill Trojans

The Mira Monte Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Foothill Trojans at 6:40 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Wednesday, Mira Monte came up short against Arvin and fell 29-20. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Foothill suffered their closest defeat since February 27, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Golden Valley by a score of 34-31.

Mira Monte's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Foothill, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Mira Monte couldn't quite finish off Foothill in their previous matchup on January 8th and fell 52-49. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Foothill's Jayda Green, who almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 14 rebounds, and nine steals.
