Recap: Millersburg Indians vs. Line Mountain Eagles
The Millersburg Indians can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Line Mountain 50-21 on the road. Given Millersburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Line Mountain is ranked 550th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Millersburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Miller, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 23 rebounds. Miller hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 17 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jana Strait, who scored 18 points.
Millersburg has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which somehow isn't as good as their 14-4 record this season. As for Line Mountain, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millersburg will take on Halifax at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Line Mountain, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Newport at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
