Badin is a perfect 5-0 against Talawanda since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rams will take on the Brave in a tournament on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Badin is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Mt. Healthy an 18-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Rams have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Carson Sergent looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
Badin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Talawanda, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Northwest on Thursday as they made off with a 10-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Brave considering their two-run performance the game before.
The result came thanks to Garrett Fisher's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks.
On the hitting side, Mason Merz was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that he has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Hainline, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Badin is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Talawanda, their win bumped their record up to 2-23.
Talawanda's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Badin has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .490. It's a different story for Talawanda, though, as they've only averaged .325. Will they be able to contain Badin's hitters?
Badin beat Talawanda 5-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Brave have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
