Basketball Game Preview: Williamsport Millionaires vs. Loyalsock Township Lancers

Williamsport is 1-9 against Loyalsock Township since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Williamsport Millionaires will take on the Loyalsock Township Lancers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Williamsport will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 22 points last Wednesday, then bounced right back against Harrisburg on Saturday. Williamsport walked away with a 59-49 win over Harrisburg.

Meanwhile, Loyalsock Township waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the RED TORNADOES with a sharp 54-28 victory. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 26 points or more this season.

Loyalsock Township pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Williamsport, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.

Williamsport came up short against Loyalsock Township when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 49-41. Can Williamsport avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
