The Dominion Christian Knights will head out to face off against the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dominion Christian will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Dominion Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Drew Charter with a sharp 17-0 victory on Wednesday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
Jake Jackson was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Gabe Buckner, who scored two runs and stole a base.
Dominion Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .652. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .526 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Kennesaw Mountain can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against New Manchester, sneaking past 3-2.
George Lutz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits.
On the hitting side, Kennesaw Mountain's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Dietz, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Dominion Christian pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Kennesaw Mountain, their record is now 14-9.
Dominion Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Kennesaw Mountain in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
