Softball Recap: Johns Creek Comes Up Short

After flying high against Chattahoochee on Thursday, Johns Creek came back down to earth. The Gladiators came up short against the Cherokee Warriors on Saturday, falling 10-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gladiators of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2015.

Johns Creek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isla Wells, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Johns Creek has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Cherokee, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johns Creek will host Norcross at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cherokee, they will challenge Wheeler at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
