Recap: California Lutheran C-Hawks vs. Hamilton Bobcats
In what's become a running theme this season, the California Lutheran C-Hawks gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 53-20 victory over Hamilton at home. Winning may never get old, but California Lutheran sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
California Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julia Ash, who scored 15 points along with nine assists and seven steals. Ash has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kiera Schroeder, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and seven steals.
California Lutheran pushed their record up to 17-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Hamilton, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
California Lutheran will head out on the road to take on Sherman Indian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sherman Indian and California Lutheran are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Hamilton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Warner at 4:00 p.m. on January 24th. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Warner: 22.2, Hamilton: 26.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
