After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Alameda, Encinal was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They claimed a resounding 59-27 victory over the Berkeley Yellowjackets. The Jets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Encinal was led to victory by Haley Huynh and Surina Castro. Huynh posted 14 points and four steals, while Castro went 6-for-10 to rack up 12 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn Lacy, who had seven points and four steals.

Encinal was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Encinal is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points over those games. As for Berkeley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-17.

Encinal has already played their next contest, a 67-37 win against Mt. Eden on the 11th. As for Berkeley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 51-28 defeat against Arroyo on the 12th.
