Basketball Recap: Central Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central can now relate to. They came up short against the Clovis West Golden Eagles on Thursday, falling 50-29. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked fourth).

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Clovis West, their victory was their 29th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 31-0.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clovis West, they will square off against Clovis at 6:00 p.m. on March 1st. Clovis will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Clovis West surely won't give up without a fight.
