It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Puyallup had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They never let the Moses Lake Mavericks get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The win was just business as usual for the Vikings, who after 27 games remain undefeated this season.

Moses Lake's batters probably weren't too happy with Mason Pike, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 17 Ks (he gave up two walks). Pike has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Noah Benedict, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Sanoy, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Puyallup pushed their record up to 27-0 with the victory, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Moses Lake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Puyallup nor Moses Lake have any future games scheduled.
