Lick-Wilmerding is 10-0 against Marin Academy since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Wildcats are ranked 621st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Marin Academy waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 73-33 victory over the Cubs. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Lick-Wilmerding has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Marin Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Everything came up roses for Lick-Wilmerding against Marin Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-35 victory. Will Lick-Wilmerding repeat their success, or does Marin Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
