Baseball Game Preview: Ridgeland Panthers vs. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors

Ridgeland is 0-7 against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe since March of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Ridgeland Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Ridgeland, who comes in off a win.

Ridgeland was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Portal, sneaking past 4-2.

The team relied heavily on Lincoln Platt, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Jax Middlebrooks was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's offense. They lost 11-0 to Heritage on Friday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ridgeland, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Ridgeland might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Ridgeland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
