Largo won the last time they faced Surrattsville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Lions blew past the Hornets 46-6. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Lions had established a 20-point advantage.

Largo was led to victory by Akeem Jervis and Tymond Foxx. Jervis threw for 177 yards and two TDs while completing 80% of his passes, while Foxx rushed for 112 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries. Jervis' passing game has become a key predictor of the Lions' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Largo's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kevonte Howard and Desmond Lawrence, who racked up four sacks between them. Howard also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten.

The win got Largo back to even at 4-4. As for Surrattsville, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Largo will square off against Friendly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Surrattsville, they will welcome Crossland at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
