Softball Recap: Fort Calhoun Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

Fort Calhoun came out on top against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Pioneers were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over Logan View/Scribner-Snyder. Considering the Pioneers have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Dehlia Hallberg was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September. Kayla Kratz was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Fort Calhoun hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 12 consecutive contests.

Fort Calhoun has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.

Looking ahead, Fort Calhoun will face off against Auburn at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
