Recap: Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams vs. Midd-West Mustangs
This season hasn't been kind to the Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They took a serious blow against Midd-West on Tuesday, falling 60-6. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech lost against Midd-West in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 60-8 score last time.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midd-West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Izzy Walter, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walter has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Emma Wagner, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Columbia Montour Vo-Tech bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.6 points per game. As for Midd-West, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2.
Columbia Montour Vo-Tech won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sullivan County at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. As for Midd-West, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Benton at 7:30 p.m.
