Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Desert Christian

Desert Christian entered their tilt with The Palmdale Aerospace Academy on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past The Palmdale Aerospace Academy Griffins 47-22. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 25 points or more this season.

Leading Desert Christian to victory were Abigail Williams and Makenzie Duffee. Williams dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards, while Duffee dropped a double-double on 15 boards and 12 blocks. Williams has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Ava Armstrong was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Desert Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.

Desert Christian pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.0 points per game. As for The Palmdale Aerospace Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Coincidentally, Desert Christian and The Palmdale Aerospace Academy will both be playing Paraclete the next time they take the court. Desert Christian will host Paraclete at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while The Palmdale Aerospace Academy will host them at 4:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
