Softball Recap: Lamar Thunder vs. Lyons Lions
Lamar proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Lyons Lions. For the Thunder, this counts as revenge for the 6-4 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.
Carlin Weber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs.
