It was a good run, but Covenant Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 58-39 fall against the New Covenant Christian Flames . While losing is never fun, Covenant Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while New Covenant Christian is ranked 127th).

Leading New Covenant Christian to victory were Qynne Demler and Miracle Hershey. Demler went 12 for 23 en route to 28 points, while Hershey went 10 of 18 on her way to 20 points and four steals. Demler's evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna Zimmerman, who posted eight points and five boards.

Covenant Christian Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for New Covenant Christian, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Covenant Christian Academy will host Mount Calvary Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. New Covenant Christian has already played their next match (against Ephrata Mennonite), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
