Recap: Pomona Catholic Pacers vs. Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets
The Pomona Catholic Pacers lost against the Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Pomona Catholic was dealt a 60-14 defeat at the hands of Sacred Heart of Jesus. Pomona Catholic has not had much luck with Sacred Heart of Jesus recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Sacred Heart of Jesus got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Xitlali Botts out in front who scored eight points along with six steals. Botts hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Michelle Canete, who scored 11 points.
Pomona Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Sacred Heart of Jesus, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.
Pomona Catholic will head out on the road to face off against St. Bernard at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sacred Heart of Jesus, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against St. Genevieve at 7:00 p.m.
