Softball Recap: Hawkinsville Falls to Cook in First Game of Season

Hawkinsville had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Cook Hornets, falling 13-1. The loss continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Hawkinsville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Takayla Scott, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Coming up, Hawkinsville will square off against Worth County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cook, they will take on Charlton County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
