Baseball Recap: Frontier Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tri-County on Thursday, Frontier came back down to earth. The Falcons fell just short of the Peru Tigers by a score of 6-4 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Falcons have suffered since April 6th.

Frontier has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-6 record this season. As for Peru, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Frontier and Peru are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Falcons will square off against Clinton Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gophers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Frontier surely won't give up without a fight. As for Peru, they will face off against Warsaw at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Warsaw has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
