Monterey Trail is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Pleasant Grove is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Monterey Trail Mustangs will host the Pleasant Grove Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but likely not for long.

Pleasant Grove's win came from a few key players Monterey Trail will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kate Myers, who posted 15 points and six boards. The game was her sixth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anniyah Banks, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.

Pleasant Grove smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Monterey Trail has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Pleasant Grove, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.

Monterey Trail was able to grind out a solid victory over Pleasant Grove in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 55-44. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Myers, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 boards.
