Softball Recap: Saydel Takes a Loss

Saydel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against the Pella Dutch, falling 10-0. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dutch from their previous meeting back in July of 2024.

Saydel's loss dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Pella, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season.

Saydel will square off against Chariton on Thursday. The Chargers' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pella, they will face off against Newton on Thursday. The last three games the Cardinals have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
